FREEDOM TO BE YOURSELF – HOW TO CREATE YOUR OWN CLOTHING STYLE

The times when people wanted to be like others are long gone. Now we all strive to emphasize our features, stand out in society, and just do what we like: this applies not only to work, education or lifestyle in general, but also to such familiar things as clothes. Each of us has certain tastes and preferences, follows fashion or, conversely, protests against fashion trends – and all this naturally affects our individual style.

How to keep this light wave of difference from others and create successful stylish looks based on personal preferences? It’s easier than you think: just follow a few simple tips.

SILHOUETTES SHOWING ADVANTAGES

An individual’s style doesn’t have to be unusual: it’s often quite the opposite. As a rule, it is a combination of styles that suit you the most, complemented by color, shoes, accessories and makeup. However, clothing is always its basis, so it must be selected very carefully.

Pay attention to those models that suit you best, or choose universal solutions: a slip dress with straps, an A-line dress or a trapeze mini skirt, wide palazzo trousers with a high rise, a tight pencil skirt below the knee, a blouse or top with puff sleeves, a shirt dress, a tracksuit made of thick jersey or a printed sweatshirt and basic jeans.

A COMBINATION OF DIFFERENT FORMS AND TEXTURES

To create your own style, knowledge of how to combine materials of different textures in one look will come in handy. I must say right away that I highly recommend trying this approach: for example, a ribbed velvet mini skirt, a corset-type eco leather crop top and an oversize cotton shirt over the top will look unusual. Thanks to the play of textures, such an outfit will attract attention and allow you to stand out among others.

Or, for example, you can combine a silk midi dress with straps with rough boots and an eco leather jacket: the contrast of delicate and rough material will emphasize your nature and sense of style.

SUCCESSFUL COLOR SOLUTIONS

Another important aspect of personal style is the color content of the looks. Of course, you can avoid experiments and stop at basic monochrome shades in combination with strict styles of fashionable clothes – straight trousers, floor-length dresses, trouser suits, basic T-shirts or longsleeves. However, if you add a touch of bright colors and more muted color shades, the looks will become more diverse and your style – more distinctive.
