TRENDY WINTER COLORS

Fashion trends are based not only on designs and styles: great attention in women’s fashion is paid to trendy colors and shades. There is even a separate Color Institute in the world that studies fashionable shades for every season! In general, the color is an important factor to consider when choosing and buying clothes, so we will not talk about the obvious things. Let’s consider what trendy colors of winter will be brought to us by the upcoming 2022.

MAIN STREAM

The Pantone Color Institute has named the Fall/Winter 2021-2022 trendy colors as invigorating, energizing and inspiring. They seem brighter and less subdued than last fall’s popular colors. Color trends include many bright summer tones such as sunny yellow, emerald green, sky blue, fuchsia and hot red.

The green palette will also expand into light herbal and olive hues, while the pink palette will also include a shade of sakura and a pale taffy. Designers have not left aside the basic winter wardrobe, because neutral shades are also in fashion – beige, brown and gray.

HOW TO WEAR BRIGHT COLORS?

I can offer several options to choose from. First of all, combine bright items with clothes in neutral colors, focusing on a certain part of the body. For example, you can buy a turquoise or bright green midi skirt and wear it with a beige turtleneck; combine a red maxi dress and a white eco leather jacket or a voluminous purple blouse with gray woolen trousers and a jacket.

You can also assemble a total look from the clothes of bright hues: this season, bright outfits of the same color look especially attractive. The most popular shades for a total look now will be warm red, wine, terracotta and mustard, but closer to the new year, you can assemble a total look of blue or light blue tones. Remember that for such an outfit you will need not only the top and bottom (or dress and jacket) of the same tone, but also outerwear, shoes and a scarf.

The most difficult, but also the most effective way to fit bright colors into a winter wardrobe is to combine them with each other. The rules of the color wheel will help you choose the right combinations: relying on them, you can create two-, three-, and even four-color looks, for example, an emerald tracksuit with an eggplant down jacket, a lavender maxi dress with a burgundy-colored jacket and a steel coat, an orange eco leather shirt leather, khaki trousers and a dark blue short down jacket.

BASIC CLOTHES IN NEUTRAL SHADES

The basic winter wardrobe this year includes casual looks with black, gray, beige and brown shades. Must-have items are charcoal high-waisted wide leg jeans, a camel turtleneck, a beige angora sweater, a gray oversized shirt and a gray houndstooth trouser suit. If you do not like bright colors, then picking up fashionable winter clothes in neutral colors is not difficult.
