However, what should you choose in the 2021 season? I’m sure each of you has heard of Bermuda shorts at least a couple of times. But do you know the history of these shorts, which were sewn exclusively and were a purely male model for a long time?<\/p>\n

Like many other items of clothing, Bermuda shorts have a military origin. The British Army needed uniforms more suitable for the tropical weather in their hottest colonies, and the British came up with a solution. Bermuda shorts were essentially a pair of short trousers that ended above the knee. Bankers and businessmen in Bermuda adopted the look in the 1920s. And when British and American tourists visited the island, they also capitalized on the trend by wearing tailored long shorts. By the same analogy, rich tourists who came to Hawaii in those days brought with them Hawaiian shirts (shirts with short sleeves and bright colorful prints) and white shorts, adopting this trend from the locals.<\/p>\n

As you can see, initially Bermuda shorts<\/a> were a men’s clothing model. However, by the beginning of the 1980s, the taboo on shorts was a thing of the past, and this model gained popularity in the women’s version.
