Who would have thought at the age of 15 that we would grow up and wear business clothes? Personally I considered a business suit boring and insipid those days, and a pencil skirt generally resembled an instrument of torture! How funny it is to remember this now when you go to work in the morning and you take out another business casual item from the closet. Therefore, today I want to show you the classics from its interesting side: it is never too late to improve your favorite looks or try a new style, if earlier business clothes were something distant and obscure for you.<\/p>\n

SHADES OF BUSINESS CLOTHING<\/p>\n

Business style is, first of all, about restraint. Basically, it implies neutral colors and shades: black, dark shades of blue, green, burgundy; gray, brown, white and beige. However, colored things are not forbidden: they can be either a bright accent or a soft spot of color. For example, if you choose a black or navy blue business suit with a jacket and trousers, you can add a turquoise silk blouse, an azure button-down shirt, a yellow longsleeve, a coral red elongated short-sleeve top to it, and this will be an accent. Or you can initially buy a pastel-colored suit (lilac, sky blue, taffy, blush, mint, ivory). But how to wear a business suit in such an unusual color? Combine it with a light shirt, blouse or turtleneck, add light pumps and a thin belt. The main thing is not to oversaturate the look with unnecessary details that distract attention.<\/p>\n

STYLISH BUSINESS LOOKS<\/p>\n

What clothing can be considered business apart from a suit? In fact, there are a lot of options: an A-line dress<\/a>, a fitted waistband dress, a wrap dress, a straight dress with puff sleeves, a bellflower skirt, an A-line or pencil skirt, a pleated midi skirt\u2026 As you can see, the choice is huge. The most important thing is to choose designs suitable for your body type and not to forget that they should be discreet.<\/p>\n

The suit itself has many variations: you can choose a double-breasted jacket and skinny trousers with pleats (such sets look great in checkered or houndstooth fabric) or stop at a single-breasted jacket and wide trousers with pintucks. Do not forget that the suit<\/a> can be not only with trousers, but also with a skirt: I recommend a fitted jacket and a pencil skirt or a semi-flare skirt. Such a model is acceptable in a business style, as long as the skirt is not too lush.<\/p>\n

EXPRESSING INDIVIDUALITY WITH AN OFFICE DRESS CODE<\/p>\n

For those who work in a formal dress code, classic clothes are an indispensable part of the wardrobe. However, no woman will agree to be like her colleagues and wear dresses and suits “without a soul.” In such cases, accessories come to the rescue: they are not forbidden in a business style. A trendy metal chain looks perfect under a shirt, a dark jacket can be worn with a bright brooch, a black dress can be diluted with a colored belt and matching shoes, and long earrings can be worn under a V-neck dress. But even if your work does not imply business looks, and you are used to relaxed tracksuits, jeans, hoodies and sweatshirts, I still advise you to take a closer look at the classics: the little black dress has not spoiled any look yet!<\/p>\n
