TRENDY OVERSIZE – A PRACTICAL AND STYLISH SOLUTION

Autumn has fully entered into its cold rights, which means that we urgently need to warm up! For everyone who has not had time to look at the trends of the upcoming autumn-winter season, or who wants to bring fresh touches to their capsule wardrobe, I am glad to announce that oversize is still in.

All women fell into oversize due to its versatility and convenience: properly selected clothes of large sizes can easily fit on the body, it gives the necessary volume and air, hides the figure flaws and sometimes even makes you look slimmer! Therefore, the focus of attention today is trendy autumn oversize looks: let’s see what this wonderful tendency can offer us.

LOOSE-FIT TOP, BOTTOM OR ALL AT ONCE?

This autumn, you have many options to choose from. The simplest solution is an oversize knitted sweater, a loose poncho or a jacket a couple of sizes larger, combined with straight trousers or a knee-length woolen flare skirt. Such outfits look stylish and comfortable, while you do not overload it with loose clothing. You can also focus on a voluminous bottom, however, this option is not suitable for girls with wide hips. For example, combine high rise oversize trousers made of eco leather and a shaped waistline with a wide elastic band with a narrow turtleneck with a zipper or a longsleeve.

The “all at once” option is, for example, an oversize midi or maxi dress with layered ruffles, slouches or pleats. It will add volume to you, but if you choose a bright print on a dark background, a noble material (silk or chiffon) and add an eco-leather raincoat, you get a very eclectic and luxurious look.

VOLUMINOUS OUTERWEAR

By the way, let’s talk about raincoats. They, like other women’s outerwear, can also be oversize. This season you can see massive and dropped shoulders, multi-layered elements, cargo pockets, decorative insets on the back and lots and lots of fabric. An oversize raincoat looks great with high-rise jeans and a loose jersey sweatshirt; woolen palazzo trousers and a turtleneck are suitable for a loose coat, and a large leather or checkered jacket will perfectly complement the look with a warm sweater, leather trousers and cowboy boots.

BETTER WAYS TO STYLE AN OVERSIZE

Each of us has our own understanding of style, so here I will give fairly general recommendations that can be violated if desired. After all, fashion is, first of all, a creative impulse, and not a set of rules, right?

I would not recommend creating total oversize onions: in the end, it may turn out that you look like a round, multi-layered cabbage. Also, do not make the top too voluminous, leaving your legs in leggings or tight trousers: this will lead to a visual disproportion. But you can focus on oversize trousers only if you compensate for them with a voluminous top layer (a blazer, a coat or a jacket).
