HOW TO CARE FOR DEMANDING FABRICS?

In stores, you can find clothes of insane beauty made of airy flying fabrics or something unusual. And like real women, we cannot resist such beauty and buy without thinking. 🙂

But then there is a revelation. After all, most often such fabrics are very picky and difficult to care for. To avoid incidents, we have prepared a small cheat sheet for caring for capricious fabrics.

STAPLE COTTON

The first mention of the staple cotton dates back to the beginning of the last century. This fabric won the women’s hearts long before its popularization. This was due to the fact that staple cotton is insanely pleasant and comfortable to the body, light and breathable at the same time. It is also an undoubtful champion of prints and colors.

This material has more considerable advantages as well:

  • It absorbs moisture well – it’s great for summer;
  • It is breathable – the skin in such clothes “breathes”;
  • It is hypoallergenic – the fabric does not cause skin irritation.

A particular attention should be paid to washing. Use only hand wash or delicate cycle. The temperature shall not be higher than 30°, and no not spin dry the staple cotton clothing! Otherwise, the fabric will shrink.

It is better to iron the staple cotton from the inside out or use a steamer.

LUREX

In the 80s, this shiny fabric took over the world. Lurex clothes were worn by everyone. It could be found in children’s clothing, headscarves for older ladies, evening dresses for parties, and even office shirts for women and men.

But let’s figure out what Lurex is in general. First of all, this is not a fabric, but a shiny fiber woven into the material. Lurex is not used on its own because of its rigidity.

Lurex has interesting properties:

  • It is strong;
  • It is neutral in contact with skin;
  • It does not oxidize when washed.

It is better to hand-wash lurex or use a delicate mode. If you still prefer machine washing, then choose the minimum speed for spinning or do not use it at all. The temperature shouldn’t exceed 30°.

Use special mild liquid detergents, as it is difficult to wash out the ordinary powder of the fabric.

To iron a fabric with lurex, use the inner side or the specific cloth.

LINEN

Linen clothing is the most suitable and comfortable for the summer. Now dresses, blouses, trousers, skirts, suits are sewn from this fabric. Linen clothes are unconditionally comfortable. These sensations last throughout the day, making it perfect for the hot summer in the city. In addition to practicality, linen looks stylish and modern.

Linen is good not only for its comfort:

  • Linen fabric is hygroscopic;
  • Linen is highly wear-resistant;
  • The fabric does not cause allergies.

But how to care for linen fabrics?

It is best to wash linen clothes in manual mode or at low speeds.

If the fabrics are white or of natural colors, even higher temperature regime can be chosen. And you should set the temperature no higher than 30° for bright or dark colors. When washing, it is better to use soft detergents, and we do not recommend using the spin cycle.

ECO LEATHER

Every year, the conscious rejection of the natural leather is growing exponentially. Most well-known brands have abandoned the use of it in favor of protecting nature and humane treatment of animals. Today, there is an excellent alternative – this is eco-leather.

A new-generation leather is durable and wear-resistant. With proper care, eco leather can retain its appearance for a long time. It is more resistant to tears and scratches, unlike its natural competitor.

The benefits of eco leather do not end there. It also has:

  • Hypoallergenic effect;
  • No specific odor;
  • Breathable effect with the air, but water-tight features in terms of moisture.

However, if we talk about care, eco leather is extremely demanding. It is better to hand-wash such clothes and avoid machine washing, unless otherwise indicated by the manufacturer.

Use a sponge and liquid detergent to hand wash eco leather. The main thing is not to rub too hard, but wipe with smooth movements. Do not use powders and substances with chlorine, they are too aggressive and can damage the fabric.

After that, rinse the eco leather clothes well and wring lightly. Let most of the water drain and then dry.
