HOW TO WEAR PASTELS: STYLISH TIPS

Two-thirds of the summer have already passed, but that’s no reason to leave your summer wardrobe alone! New items appear every few days, so you always have a fresh selection of trendy clothes at your service. What’s in fashion in 2021?

In addition to juicy warm shades of orange, red and yellow, calm white, beige and gray, pastel shades have also come into fashion. They are suitable for those who like more concise looks, and for fans of relaxed informal clothes, and for elegant ladies who prefer evening dresses with stilettos. So, today we will analyze everything about clothes in pastel shades: which ones are the trendiest, how to choose beautiful color combinations and what trends to pay attention to first of all.

TRENDY PASTEL 2021

In fact, hot weather is the perfect time for pastels: light shades are less hot and more airy, and they are also very beautiful. Now, designers pay the most attention to the shades of beige, light green, pale blue, lilac and light pink from the pastel palette. I advise you to look at a linen jacket or an ivory suit, a light dress with a print on sage background, a sky blue dress with layered ruffles (it looks especially cool in the silhouette of a sundress with straps with ties), a lilac hoodie dress, a lavender button-down shirt or an oversize taffy T-shirt.

INTEGRATING PASTELS INTO LOOKS

The first and easiest option is to combine pastel clothes with basic colors: white, beige, gray. It is also possible to combine it with black, but then you will get too noticeable contrast. Pair sage blouses with a beige pencil skirt, a pleated A-line dress with white sandals and a bag, gray wide leg jeans with a lilac top or a salmon T-shirt with an abstract print.

A more difficult option is to choose color combinations of bright and pastel shades. For example, a light green longsleeve will look good with mustard eco-leather trousers, a cornflower-blue jacket – with a burgundy tank top and a milky floor-length skirt, and a lavender sheath dress – with bright blue pumps and a matching bag.

Another option is to assemble a pastel total look from one selected shade. In this case, light turquoise and lilac sets will look best. For example, choose a lavender slip dress, a cooler lilac oversize jacket, a violet bag and mules, or combine a mint blouse, jade palazzo trousers, an aquamarine clutch and light turquoise sandals.

TIE-DYE PRINT

This wonderful multicolored print is another way to wear pastels in an informal way. Choose a print in more muted tones: light blue, peach, light pink, mint. The tie-dye print looks coolest on summer jersey tracksuits with bermuda shorts and a crop top with sleeves and a hood, as well as on T-shirt dresses, sleeveless t-shirts and oversize T-shirts that can be worn with shorts or as a loose dress.
