Every year the concept of a perfect body becomes more and more blurred and loses its relevance: no one expects that all the women of the world will go in pursuit of the cherished 90-60-90. And, as for me, this is good: finally, common sense gradually prevailed in the fashion world, and designers realized that female beauty is multifaceted. Therefore, plus size girls do not need to be ashamed of their appetizing forms and go on extreme diets. Of course, I’m not talking about the need to stop caring for yourself, give up physical activity and sit on the couch surrounded by cookies – this is the other extreme. Just remember that you are beautiful, and fashion and designers work for you. Therefore, today we will discuss the styles of plus size blouses, and tell you how to choose a right one.
A FLATTERING DESIGN
If you have a large top, but narrow hips, I advise you to choose a straight or fitted blouse without puff sleeves to balance the top and bottom. If the volumes of the top and bottom are symmetrical, look at loose sleeveless blouses falling down in waves, as well as blouses with a corset waist, sweetheart neckline and puff sleeves. For ladies with small breasts and wide hips, silk blouses with bows, ruffles on the chest or frills are perfect: the top will acquire the necessary volume, and the bottom can be packed into something seductively tight-fitting.
CAN I CHOOSE A PRINTED BLOUSE?
Yes, you certainly can! And it’s even necessary, because in this way you will emphasize your individual taste and choose not the most ordinary blouse. However, when choosing a print, you should follow a couple of simple rules. First of all, it should not be too big, otherwise you risk visually enlarging the figure. For example, if you like a floral print, choose a blouse in small flowers or opt for a print with a single flower on a thin stem. The same goes for a polka dot print: it is acceptable, but it is advisable to pick up a blouse in small dots.
Another tough moment is the striped print. A striped blouse can make you look bigger, especially if the stripes are large and at least one of them is light. I advise you to either choose dark blouses in small stripes located at a fairly large distance from one another or buy a blouse in diagonal stripes of different widths.
HOW TO WEAR A PLUS SIZE BLOUSE?
Stylish plus size blouses look great with straight-leg jeans, high-waisted wide leg trousers, palazzo trousers or banana suiting trousers with tucks. Choose the design that suits your body type and the style you like to wear. If you want to combine a blouse with a skirt, a classic option would be a pencil skirt just below the knee and a midi-length flared skirt. If you are comfortable in short skirts, pay attention to the combination of a sleeveless blouse and a babydoll skirt: it looks very fresh and bold!
You can also combine a blouse with a sundress, which is a hit of this season. The main thing is to correctly arrange them in style. For example, a white cotton blouse with wide sleeves is perfect for an A-line denim sundress, but a silk blouse with a leopard print will be a clear bust. It is better to wear this under loose trousers made of eco leather.
